Pulp Therapy

A pulpotomy is when a partial nerve treatment is completed on a baby tooth. It’s done to save the tooth from decay and bacteria that have infected it. During a pulpotomy, the decay will be removed to prevent further infection.

Baby teeth respond well when the decaying part of the nerve is removed, allowing the healthy part to remain. In addition to the cavity’s removal, the area of the pulp that’s infected will also be removed. Then, we will disinfect the remaining pulp and seal the tooth with a crown. The tooth will remain alive and well after this procedure.
