How Are Appointments Scheduled?
We believe that scheduling dentist appointments early in the morning works best for young children. By putting young patients early in the morning, everyone will be well-rested, which will help ensure the appointment goes smoothly.
Why is a Consultation Required Before Treatment?
Taking time off work or school to visit the dentist can be frustrating, but your child’s well-being is a priority. Many children are fearful when visiting the dentist, so discussing the treatment with you and your child beforehand can help make them more comfortable. It also gives us a chance to make sure we have all information in order, including medical and dental details, such as x-rays.
During the consultation, we’ll also discuss all treatment options so we can come up with the best plan for your child. Some aspects we will cover are cost estimates and sedation options if necessary. Meeting the child also helps us better predict the amount of time that will be needed during the treatment.
Most importantly, the consultation is the perfect time to address any questions or concerns you might have. We want to ensure that you and your child feel at ease after the meeting.
There are lots of surprises in life that we can control, but cancellations can be hard on everyone involved. So, if possible, we’d appreciate at least a 48-hour notice for cancellations and rescheduled appointments. That way, we can give your appointment to someone else if needed. If cancellations occur more than two times, we may not be able to keep scheduling you at our practice.
What if You’re Running Late?
Our team works hard to stay on time, but we understand that things may come up. If you know you’ll be late for your appointment, please give us a call as soon as possible.
We will try our best to accommodate late patients, but we may need to reschedule, depending on the situation. We want to dedicate plenty of time to your child during their appointment so we can give them the best care possible. If arriving late interferes with that, we’ll kindly ask you to reschedule.
